Professor Alison Noble announced as Fellow of the Royal Society
Professor Alison Noble OBE FRS FREng is the Technikos Professor of Biomedical Engineering in the Oxford University Department of Engineering Science, Associate Head of the University’s Mathematical Physical Life Sciences Division (Industry and Innovation), and a Fellow of St Hilda’s College, Oxford. She served as Director of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering from 2012-16.
She is also a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Intelligent Ultrasound Ltd which is developing products to make ultrasound easier to use by non-expert medical professionals around the world.
Professor Noble is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, a Trustee and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering Technology (IET), and a Fellow and former President of the MICCAI Society, the international society in her field. She received an OBE for services to science and engineering in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list in June 2013.
